OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT

New Year goal setting plan created by Tim Ferris

At the beginning of 2019, I followed Tim Ferris' advice from his book The 4 Hour Work Week. Some of the goals I wanted to achieve were; run a 1/2 marathon, travel more, and read one book a month. After writing my goals on January 1st, I determined three steps to achieve each goal.

RUN A 1/2 MARATHON
1. Choose a race
2. Sign up for race
3. Make a training plan

TRAVEL MORE
1. Select a location
2. Plan time of travel
3. Use Hopper to find the best prices for flights

READ ONE BOOK PER MONTH
1. Pick an unread book off your bookshelf to read
2. Created a book log to help me stay on track
3. Add read to my to-do list

At the end of 2019, I accomplished about 70% of my goals!
I ran TWO 1/2 marathons, traveled to 3 countries and 4 states,
and read 12 books!

This year, I learned to stop talking about my "wants" and to start taking steps towards making them happen. Life moves fast, and you don't want to look back and think, "I wish I would have...". I hope you start the year off on the right foot.  Remember, you can set new goals anytime! Use the steps above to achieve your dreams!
